The African Minerals and Geosciences Centre (AMGC) Director General, Mr. Ibrahim Shaddad paid a visit at the Geological Survey of Tanzania (GST) in Dodoma, Tanzania
The African Minerals and Geosciences Centre (AMGC) in tripartite collaboration with BGR of Germany and International Conference of African Great Lakes Region (ICGLR) will inaugurate a sophisticated Hi Tech Analytical Finger Printing (AFP) Laboratory for analysis of 3Ts conflict minerals to enforce the regional certification mechanism and abate illicit minerals trade in the African Great Lakes Region. The inauguration will be held in Dar es Salaam, the United Republic of Tanzania on 08 June 2018.
AMGC Director General, Mr. Ibrahim Shaddad attended PanAfGeo M18 Mid-term meeting 10-11 May 2018 in Dakar, Senegal. AMGC is a member of Advisory Board of PanAfGeo since 2017, and its partnerships with both PanAfGeo & Organization of African Geological Surveys (OAGS) is to serve the human capacity building of African Geological Surveys (GSOs). The meeting deliberated on progress has been achieved by the Project in human capacity building of geological Surveys in Africa.
The Director General of the African Minerals & Geosciences Centre (AMGC) had signed the Report of the 38th Meeting of the Governing Council (GC) of AMGC in Dodoma and then presented it to Permanant Secretay of Tanzanian Ministry of Minerals for signature of the former Chairperson of AMGC’s GC as well as the Hon. Tanzanian Minister of Minerals.
